WEEK TEN RECAPS

Weiner out duels Costa for six inning total bases win

The 10-8 Yankees take on the 8-10 Dodgers. Cy Young Candidate Yankees own Mike Weiner would go up against Cy Young Candidate Jonny (to sexy) Costa. The Type of game everyone saw coming a good old fashion SHOOT OUT. What could possibly be better that Johnny Costa’s 5 Innings 1 hit 1 walk shut out? A mike wiener 6 inning Perfect Game that Joey Maniscalco fucks up by throwing away a somewhat hard hit ball Maniscalco would lose all self-control seeing Timothy (Zeuz)(Sexxier Mr. Clean) Trenary Giggling his scrotum in front of the net made maniscalco cum with such force his throw was thrown off enough to be a bull shit hit. (IM SORRY MIKE WEINER!!!!!!!)

In conclusion Greg Tyler would be the Guy to get the Hit and the late inning walk that would give the Yankees a much needed win.

 AGAIN MVP: Mike Weiner

Yankees win on Muschinsky solo shot in the fourth

The 11-8 Yankees take on 8-11 Dodgers. Yankees Greg Tyler takes on the all mighty Tim Trenary. Greg Tyler in a great Outing goes 5 innings of shutout ball to a pretty solid line up. The Dodgers would make some noise in the 3rd loading the bases but would be kept quite the rest of the game. It wasn’t until the 4th inning where Big BO MOchensky would take his hammer and take a Trenary drop pitch over the left field fence… it was orgasmic. I love seeing Trenary drop his head with disgust. Greg Tyler would close the door bringing the Yankees to 12-8. Joey again would keep his kryptonite status on the Zeus lining a triple that if holes down would be sent to krypton.

MVP: Greg Tyler

Cardinals plate five in the fourth as they draw one step closer to playoffs

Kris Morse’s Cardinals went into this past Sunday with a great chance to push one step closer to clinching a playoff spot. Facing the rebuilding Brewers team was the only soft spot in a brutal August schedule. With Oliver Avallone absent, Rob Longiaru toed the rubber and continued to display dominating control.

While the Cardinals bats have been near non existent all year, top notch pitching and timely hits have been the key to making a playoff run. In the fourth, the Cards plated two runs off walks and rookie Nate Cruz had the key hit this time, a two run double to extend the Cardinal lead.

The Cardinals would cruise to victory with a score of 5-0. Later they would clinch a playoff spot due to the outcome of the Dodgers, Yankees series, giving the franchise it’s first post season appearance.

Istorico shines in game where Mariners clinch a bye

Istorico went out and did what the mariners needed. Get the first game win to secure the first bye in franchise history. He pitched a gem by throwing a shut out and giving up one hit. He also added his first home run of the year. Fliesser added a home run to the tally as well. Nick Santana put some healthy swings on the ball to collect a few hits as well. Rookie Mike Quezada pitched well also, holding the first place Mariners to only four runs over four innings.

Santana delivers when needed

The game was going slow to start and then Fliesser blasted a home run to deep center off of rookie Ryan Petrone. A few innings later Santana gave back two with some wild pitches. A few innings later Bumpy added a 3 run homer of his own. On field three the mariners saw the D Backs took a loss to the Brewers! So the mariners went in to the dugout in the top of the fifth and needed 4 to tie and 5 to go ahead.  Here is how it went

Fliesser -1B

Santana- HR

Istorico-FO

That’s how Nick Santana drove in 5 in the fifth to get the lead back. Istorico came in for the save and the mariners lock up the pennant for the first time in franchise history!

Gitlitz homers twice, drives in four in longest game of the season

Padres Sweep Expos To Clinch Playoff Berth Coming into Week 10, the Padres had lost 6 of their last 8 games after starting the season with an 8-2 record. The first game of this crucial series matched up Kyle “K Von” VonSchleusingen and Ryan Bush, playing in his first game as a member of the Expos and pitching against the Padres for the third time this season. In the top of the 2nd, the Padres would quickly jump out to a 4-0 lead on a leadoff Wiffman solo shot and Gitlitz 3 run home run. In the bottom of the 3rd, the Expos would score their only run of the game on a Kenny Rodgers Jr solo home run. The Padres would tack on 2 more runs in the 4th and 5th innings on Wiffman’s 10th dinger of the season, a VonSchleusingen triple that scored Gitlitz, and K Von and Gitlitz home runs. The Padres would go on to win by the score of 8-1. Six home runs were mashed out of the park in total, including 2 each by Wiffman and Gitlitz.

Sean Ryan drives in three and picks up win as Padres sweep Expos

The second game of the series would match up newly acquired Sean Ryan and Kenny Rodgers Jr. The Padres would push across a run in the top of the 2nd on Wiffman’s 3rd HR of the day and his league leading 11th on the season. The Expos would load the bases in the top of the 3rd and score 2 runs on a Didio walk and Rodgers RBI single. However, the Padres would retake the lead on a Wiffman 2 run double, and Ryan would help out his own cause with a 3 run bomb. Rodgers would hit a solo shot in the 4th, but the Expos fell short as the Padres claimed the 6-3 victory for the series sweep. Former Blue Jays teammates, Wiffman and Rodgers, both reached double digit dingers on Sunday.
